Thousands of fans commented on the post, wondering if they’d been duped by the Chiefs’ account. “This can’t be real,” one fan posted. “Is this an April Fools Day joke,” added another. Both the Chiefs and Reid are yet to comment on whether the new look is real or not. Furthermore, in the annual NFL head coaches picture, Reid’s mustache had not been shaven off, suggesting that the Chiefs are pulling an April Fools prank. Reid’s mustache is iconic and a well known part of his image — the three-time Super Bowl champion went viral back in January 2024 when it froze with icicles forming on it due to the extreme weather. The 65-year-old dropped the perfect one liner when asked about it by reporters at the time. “I guess the worst thing that could happen is it falls off,” he joked.
