Chelsea 1-0 Leicester: Marc Cucurella rescues win after Cole Palmer penalty miss
Palmer has not scored in the league since January.

Marc Cucurella’s goal secured the three points for Chelsea against Leicester City in the Premier League after Cole Palmer’s shock penalty miss.
The Blues welcomed the Foxes to Stamford Bridge on Sunday knowing that they would move into the top four ahead of Manchester City as long as they didn’t lose.
And while they got a much-needed win, they were made to work for it as relegation-threatened Leicester dug deep and created plenty of problems for Enzo Maresca’s defence and attack.
Chelsea looked set to take the lead in the first-half after Jadon Sancho was brought down in the box, but for the first time ever Palmer didn’t keep his cool from the spot and Mads Hermansen brilliantly saved his penalty.
The away keeper had an inspired game but couldn’t stop a moment of magic from Cucurella, who, after watching his side struggle to create, surged forward from left-back and drove a powerful effort from the edge of the area across the box and into the bottom corner.

It was hardly Chelsea’s best game and another worrying one for their ailing attack but the win will give them momentum ahead of their Conference League last 16 second leg against Copenhagen.
