Kurtis Rourke is back on the gridiron.
After undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL on Jan. 8, the Canadian quarterback has been cleared to throw and should be a full-go for NFL training camp, his agent Casey Muir revealed, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
The Oakville, Ont., native and former Indiana University standout quarterback has resumed on-field workouts as he prepares to hopefully hear his name called during the NFL Draft, April 24-26.
Pelissero added that Rourke has already met with 15 teams.
The Canadian may not be as toolsy as other QB prospects, but he has the physical traits – standing six foot five, 223 pounds – and the production NFL teams look for. Rourke, 24, led the Hoosiers to the 12-team College Football Playoff while throwing for 3,042 yards, 29 touchdowns and only five interceptions.
But what can’t be questioned is his toughness. Rourke played the entirety of the magical 2024 season on the torn ACL that he’s currently recovering from.
Rourke, the younger brother of B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke, transferred to Indiana for his final NCAA season after starting at Ohio.
