In 2024, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford (SDAC-Ford) continued to expand its presence in Malaysia on many fronts, enjoying strong sales growth, a steady expansion of its network as well as gaining multiple award recognitions.

Product-wise, consumers’ confidence in the brand’s superior performance, advanced technology and
outstanding quality was reflected through strong sales of the Ford Ranger and Everest, with new model introductions helping to spur further growth. Among the year’s key highlights were the successful launches of the Ford Ranger StormTrak limited edition and the XLT Plus Special Edition, with both models gaining significant interest in the market.

The brand’s sales and service network also saw significant expansion in 2024, with no less than nine new showrooms and upgraded facilities being introduced nationwide. New facilities included Millennium in Kuantan, 2S centres in Kapit and Mukah as well as the largest 3S showroom in Penang.

Existing facilities that underwent Ford Signature upgrades included those in Seremban (Trio Mantap), Kuala Terengganu (I-Expert), Kuala Lumpur (Capital Intertrade), Klang (Semangat Anggun) and Sibu (Sibu Ngu Brothers).

Additionally, service-only facilities were also established in Kapit and Mukah to cater to the specific needs of customers in East Malaysia. Plans are also underway to establish two new 3S centres this year, namely Supreme Priority Kluang in Johor and Millennium Automart Jalan Kuching in Kuala Lumpur, with four dealerships also set to be upgraded by year-end.

The network expansion is targeted to continue, with SDAC-Ford announcing it is opening recruitment applications for dealerships in:

• Perlis
• Kedah
• Perak
• Selangor (Setia Alam and Shah Alam)
• Kuala Lumpur (Balakong, Selayang, Kepong and Sungai Buloh)
• Johor
• Pahang
• Kelantan (Gua Musang and Pasir Puteh)
• Terengganu (Kemaman)
• Sabah (Keningau, Lahad Datu, Beaufort and Kota Marudu)
• Sarawak (Sarikei, Niah, Limbang, and Lawas)
