Brooklyn Mirage cancels remainder of reopening weekend

Brooklyn Mirage was scheduled to reopen on Thursday (5/1) after extensive renovations and safety improvements, but they cancelled their planned first show back, the first of two nights with Sara Landry, saying they hadn’t met the “final inspection deadline.” The venue has now announced that the rest of the weekend’s shows are also cancelled. A statement from them reads:

It is with a heavy heart that we share this update: all Brooklyn Mirage shows are cancelled through this weekend.

We know this is disappointing news. While we are working 24/7 on the solution, we want to first and foremost send a sincere apology to the fans, artists, crew members, and hundreds of employees who will bring Mirage to life each night. Their livelihoods and passion are at the heart of everything we do, and we are doing everything in our power to get back on track—safely and in full compliance—as soon as possible.

We are actively collaborating with a wide range of city officials to meet all requirements, and we look forward to opening as soon as possible.

All ticket holders for this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will receive a full refund, and we will notify the general public with updates as soon as possible. We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and belief in what we’re building together. All ticket holders will receive an SMS and email message with next steps.

We will communicate with you again early next week about future shows.

Cancelled shows currently include Sara Landry tonight (5/2), Cityfox Regenerate on Saturday (5/3) (with Andhim, Argy, Carlita, Colyn, Sainte Vie, Recondite, Shimza, Tom & Collins, Aqutie, Chambord, Double Touch, Karaba, Le Yora, Magit Cacoon, Sintra, and Yamagucci), and the first night of Black Coffee‘s residency on Sunday (5/4).

Brooklyn Mirage’s next scheduled show is currently Loud Luxury on May 9 with Jigitz, me n ü, SKILAH, and Luke Alexander.
