Brompton Launches New 'T Line Ceratech' Titanium Bikes

Brompton is updating its T Line range with Cerakote, a highly durable ceramic-based coating that's typically found on spacecrafts and racing cars, to deliver what the brand calls "a beautifully tough bike that is made to last, yet feels out of this world."The new T Line Ceratech collection expands on Brompton's robust and ultra-lightweight titanium range – one that it first launched in 2021. Indeed, the T Line is one of the lightest folding bikes on the market and the new four-speed Ceratech model weighs just 7.95 kg (17.5 lbs). Brompton says its Cerakote coating "is 62% lighter than the standard Brompton finish" without compromising on quality, offering "exceptional durability [and] corrosion resistance".For this launch, Brompton is releasing two color variants of the bike: a "Ceratech Black" version, which makes its way to the U.K. and the U.S.A., and a 'Ceratech Bronze' model that is being sold in Asia–Pacific countries. The "Ceratech Black" model's frame features a two-tone treatment, with black on one half and what looks to be a "raw" titanium grey on the other, as well as an eye-catching pop of metallic purple found on the seat adjustment lever and adjoining area.Alex Scrivner, Brompton's product director, says the new T Line Ceratech collection "represents a new benchmark in performance and design," adding, "By combining the natural strength of titanium with the advanced protective properties of Cerakote, we've created a bike that doesn't just perform — it’s super durable, whilst looking aesthetically beautiful."The bikes are being released in two geared options: four-speed and 12-speed. They will also come with the choice of low or mid handlebars.Brompton's T Line Ceratech is available now in the U.K. with prices starting at £5,499 GBP. The bikes are set to launch in the U.S.A. from May 14th with prices starting at $7,550 USD.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
