The trio of Billy Horschel, Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay erased a three-point deficit to win 4-3 in Match 2 to complete a sweep in the best-of-three finals to claim the SoFi Cup.
Atlanta took the lead on the penultimate hole after throwing the hammer and scoring two points as Billy Horschel nailed a 17-foot putt to push them ahead by one.
New York — featuring Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele and Cameron Young — was unable to score on the final hole to keep their title hopes alive.
Atlanta, the No. 3 playoff seed, edged New York 6-5 on Monday during Match 1 of the finals.
