Brazil said: “I’m not going to go into it, but I’m told there was a few clashes between fans. Paris is too nice a city for that nonsense.” “I think fans have to be careful tonight,” Agbonlahor warned. “It’s an amazing city, but it’s the sort of place and night where fans have to be a bit streetwise going to the game.” Brazil then added: “Don’t go on your own. That’s the golden rule. Stay in groups.” A fan account called Aston Villa Updates reposted footage of PSG and Newcastle fans clashing in 2023 and said: “Be careful out in Paris.” The West Midlands Police Force Football Unit also took to X with safety advice for Villa fans who have travelled to Paris for the match.
