Angel Reese joins absent LeBron James to smash $30million Met Gala target after skipping Chicago Sky duties

She communicated with her teammates that she’ll be there. “We, as an organization, are in support of everyone on and off the court.” The Sky forward will also have to likely gear up for action in less than 24 hours again, as Chicago takes on the Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday in their latest preseason action. This year’s event was particularly important to Reese as she was part of the Met Gala committee. The WNBA star joined Olympic track star Sha’Carri Richardson and seven-time gold-medalist Simone Biles on the celeb-filled panel. Other sports stars included Flau’jae Johnson, Dwyane Wade, Saquon Barkley, Serena and Venus Williams, Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson and Jalen Hurts also made an appearance. After raising $26 million last year, The Met Gala raised over $31 million this year. And it’s no surprise when considering the cost of even attending the event. An individual ticket goes for around $75,000 (£56,000), while a 10-seat table starts at $350,000.
