Anthem PS Store Deal

The PS Store typically has some quality video games on sale for the PS4 and PS5 that are worth checking out. A lot of the time, there are also some stinkers. The latest sales promotion lets players save up to 75% on games, including this somewhat disappointing action RPG from a beloved developer.

BioWare’s Anthem is 75% off on the PS Store

Anthem is currently 75% off on the PS Store. This brings the game regularly priced at $19.99 down to just $4.99. Players who want to take advantage of this discount will want to act fast. The offer ends on May 22 at 2:59 a.m. ET.

“Team with up to three other players in cooperative adventures that reward both combined effort and individual skill,” reads the game’s description. “Each player’s choice of javelin exosuit will shape their contribution and strategic role. As you explore, you will discover a gripping story filled with unique and memorable characters. Seamless and intelligent matchmaking will ensure you can quickly and easily find other players to adventure alongside.”

When Anthem launched in 2019, it was met with mixed reviews. According to the review aggregate website Metacritic, it received an average score of 59 across 76 critic reviews. In our review, we gave the BioWare-developed game a 7 out of 10.

“As much as I personally wanted Anthem to be a runaway success, it ends up delivering an inconsistent experience that constantly waivers between mediocre and excellent,” says our review. “Unfortunately, regardless of where the quality falls on that spectrum, the biggest takeaway is that it feels decidedly un-Bioware.”

Although it wasn’t well-received critically, it was nominated for several awards. This includes the Most Wanted Game at the 2018 Golden Joystick Awards and Most Anticipated Game at the Gamers’ Choice Awards. It also won Best PC Game and Best Action Game at the Game Critics Awards in 2018. However, those nominations and awards all occurred before the game came out.
