Zeekr 9X – first pix appear online, Shanghai debut

The first pix of Zeekr’s flagship Zeekr 9X SUV has appeared online, and the behemoth is scheduled to be on display at Auto Shanghai 2025 this week.

The Zeekr 9X, previously known by its codename EX1E, is rumoured to be the brand’s first hybrid offering although details are limited for now. Reports from China indicate the Zeekr Super Hybrid system will integrate plug-in hybrid, pure electric and range extender technologies.

Looking like China’s relatively more affordable answer to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, essentially it is the SUV counterpart to the luxurious Zeekr 009 MPV, which is already on sale in Malaysia from RM350k.

Will the Zeekr 9X be launched in Malaysia? If it truly is available only as a hybrid, the pricetag might not be as appealing as the 009 since full tax exemptions are for pure EVs only.
