Your Favorite 'Abbott Elementary' Teacher Almost Had a Very Different Role on 'Ghosts'

Sheryl Lee Ralph's Barbara Howard is one of the cornerstones of ABC's hit sitcom Abbott Elementary. However, the veteran actor almost haunted the set of a different sitcom entirely. In a new interview with the Sister Act star, she recounts how she almost became one of the spirits haunting Woodstone Manor on CBS' Ghosts. The near-miss happened when Ralph was starring on the Nina Dobrev sitcom Fam, which was cancelled after a single season. However, two of the Fam creatives, Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, asked her to be on a new series they were developing, Ghosts.
