WU LYF teasing return
A mysterious countdown clock arrives not long after Lost Under Heaven, the duo featuring WU LYF vocalist Ellery James Roberts, broke up.

I don’t know if you had to be there, but WY LYF‘s 2011 debut album Go Tell Fire to the Mountain remains one of the previous decade’s most rewarding indie/art rock gems, made even more the stuff of legend because WU LYF broke up soon after its release. Vocalist Ellery James Roberts went on to form the band Lost Under Heaven (aka LUH), who put out a lot of great music but who still couldn’t escape being referred to as “the band that followed WU LYF” despite lasting for much longer. They existed for 12 years, up until saying farewell with their final single “Creation Song” less than two weeks ago. Other members of WU LYF formed other projects after that band’s breakup too (including Los Porcos, Francis Lung, and Dream Lovers), but now, with Lost Under Heaven in the rearview, it looks like we might finally be getting the return of WU LYF.
Someone posted on Reddit about receiving a mysterious postcard with the text “A NEW LIFE IS COMING” pointing them to the website worldunite.org, which has WU LYF’s logo and a countdown to April 1. What does it mean? We should know pretty soon…
