John Travolta’s film career is a wild ride, some of the best movies ever made, some of the worst. But tell me, is there a more legendary actor matchup than Travolta and Cage in Face/Off? Maybe De Niro and Pacino in Heat, but that one stayed grounded. The craziest thing we got was Pacino ranting to Tone Loc about a woman’s backside.
Go ahead, pull up Travolta’s IMDb. The man’s been in a ton of culturally relevant films. Let’s run it down—Carrie, Grease, Look Who’s Talking, Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty, Broken Arrow, Phenomenon, Michael, The General’s Daughter, Swordfish, Basic. The hits and misses, I’m looking at you Battlefield Earth, keep coming, but Travolta swings for the fences every time. When he connects, it’s magic.
Now he’s back with High Rollers, starring alongside Gina Gershon, Lukas Haas, and Quavo. Raindrop, droptop, y’all.

Here’s the synopsis – Master thief Mason (John Travolta) is living the criminal’s dream: island-hopping with his crew and the love of his life, Decker (Gina Gershon), while floating on a sea of stolen cash. But his dream is shattered when his nemesis, the ruthless Salazar, kidnaps Decker and forces Mason and his crew to attempt a near-impossible casino heist in exchange for her return. Hedged in by Salazar’s equally ruthless rivals, and with the FBI on his tail, Mason gambles everything in pursuit of both the big score and the ultimate jackpot: Decker’s life.
High Rollers hits theaters, on-demand, and digital March 14, 2025.
