‘Wings of Fire’ Soars With New Update Three Years After Netflix Cancellation

It’s been almost exactly three years since the reported Wings of Fire series that was in the works was canceled at Netflix, and now the show has roared back to life with a new update. Ava DuVernay was originally attached to work on a Wings of Fire animated series at Warner Bros. in 2020, and it wasn’t until a year later that the project landed at Netflix before being canned the year after. Now, Variety reports that the show has once again been revived at Amazon, and it has also set Aaron Watke as its showrunner. Watke is best known for his work as a writer on Star Trek: Prodigy, and he’s also worked on other projects such as Wizards, Teen Titans Go!, and Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia.
