Why Luke Shaw isn’t playing in Manchester United’s clash with Wolves
The England left-back has been left out of United's squad.

Ruben Amorim has allayed fears that Luke Shaw may have suffered an injury setback and confirmed the full-back has been rested for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Wolves.
Shaw returned from a serious muscle injury last month and has featured in United’s last two matches against Newcastle and Lyon, coming off the bench on both occasions.
But the 29-year-old played for far longer than Amorim had initially planned on Thursday night as the Red Devils’ Europa League epic with Lyon went to extra-time.
Shaw had been expected to be continue his run on the bench at home to Wolves this afternoon but the England international misses out altogether, with academy product Harry Amass given the nod at left-back.
January signing Patrick Dorgu will start on the right side of United’s defence after his impressive midweek showing at Old Trafford.

‘Shaw, in my mind, was playing 30 minutes against Lyon, but because of the problems we had at half-time with Victor [Lindelof] and Nous [Mazraoui] and then extra-time, he did a very good job but played a lot of minutes,’ Amorim told MUTV ahead of United’s match with Wolves.
‘He has to feel that load, to rest now and train for the next game.’
Teenage defender Tyler Fredricson, 20, will make his senior United debut this afternoon, with Amorim making five changes to the team that eventually got over the line against Lyon in midweek.
‘He’s really composed, he’s really humble,’ Amorim said of United’s debutant Fredricson.
‘Every training session he has with the first-team, he is really focused on every detail of training. He’s really good on the ball and it’s a good opportunity for him.’
