Whoop Announces New Product With Massive Upgrades
The new offerings give a "way to quantify your physiological age and slow your pace of aging," the company states.

Summer is approaching quickly, and those who want to pump some iron and get in shape for the beach don't have much time left to prepare for the skin-bearing season. But, getting in shape isn't just about looking good. It's also about feeling good and being as healthy as possible, which is always a win-win combination.
Whoop is a human performance company that uses wearable technology measure your daily behaviors and metrics like sleep, strain and recovery to "show you how they all play an interconnected role in how you feel," the company explains. "In fact, everything Whoop measures is scientifically proven to make the greatest impact on the way you perform."
On May 8, Whoop announced the release of two new wearable devices, called Whoop 5.0 and Whoop MG. The new wearables offer sleeker hardware, a longer battery life and new in-app health insights. Both of the new devices are intended for 24/7 wear, so clients are able to wear them sleeping, showering and working out.
"We've taken everything we've learned over the past decade and built a platform to help our members perform and live at their peak for longer," Whoop founder and CEO Will Ahmed said in a statement.
One of the new devices' in-app features is "Whoop Age," which gives clients "insights and guidance on how your daily habits impact your long-term health with Healthspan - a powerful new way to quantify your physiological age and slow your pace of aging."
The two new devices mark the first time Whoop has launched a major hardware update since 2021, when the company released Whoop 4.0. Whoop, according to a release.
"Whoop is a great tool. It's like a doctor on my wrist," Cristiano Ronaldo, professional soccer player and Whoop global ambassador and investor, said in a statement. "It allows me to monitor my behavior easily, and shows me that being consistent and prioritizing your health is worth it. I'm happy to be part of this company, and the launch of the Whoop 5.0 and MG."
