Wehrlein inherits Miami E-Prix win after late red flag

Saturday’s Miami E-Prix delivered a late twist at Homestead-Miami Speedway as Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein snatched victory in Round 5 of the Formula E World Championship from poleman Norman Nato.

The Nissan charger crossed the line first, but a gut-wrenching disqualification for missing his Attack Mode activations dropped him to sixth.

Wehrlein, who’d battled to second on the road, claimed his eighth Formula E win, and was joined on the podium by Lucas di Grassi (Lola Yamaha ABT) in second and teammate Antonio Felix da Costa in third.

Wehrlein’s triumph propelled him to third in the standings, with Porsche dominating the teams’ championship!
