The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) is set to give remarks Tuesday afternoon as President Trump marks 100 days back in the Oval Office.
Progressives earlier this year launched their first organized campaign against the GOP, primarily the president's tax agenda. Democrats have also held rallies throughout the country protesting the Trump administration's sweeping tariffs, immigration moves and the Department of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) overhaul of the federal workforce.
Their remarks, led by Chair Greg Casar (D-Texas) and Deputy Chair Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) come as CPC board member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) — an outspoken Trump critic — has been floated as a potential contender to lead the Democratic ticket in 2028.
The event is scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m. EDT.
