As reality TV evolves, the way it portrays family life can improve as well. The new TLC show, Big Family, Big City,enters the spotlight at a time when reality fans are more conscious and critical of ongoing behind-the-scenes issues, especially regarding the 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On family, the Duggars. After Josh Duggar was convicted and sentenced for child pornography, more truths behind the family’s filming habits and ethics came to light, and it was haunting. The Duggar women and children didn’t have much of a say in how they were filmed, and there were a lot more tragedies that occurred behind the scenes.
