Dan Ticktum remained on top in second practice for Formula E’s Monaco E-Prix, leading another Porsche one-two.
The Cupra Kiro driver put in a fastest lap of 1m 26.779, 0.732s quicker than his best from earlier in the morning, and 0.167s ahead of Andretti’s Jake Dennis.
Edoardo Mortara kept Mahindra at the sharp end, going third quickest, 0.212s off Ticktum’s best and 0.045s adrift of Dennis. Mitch Evans moved Jaguar up the order, lapping fourth fastest, ahead of Nissan’s Oliver Rowland and Nyck de Vries in the second Mahindra.
Pascal Wehrlein was seventh, he and his TAG Heuer Porsche teammate Antonio Felix da Costa being split by Robin Frijns of Envision Racing, while NEOM McLaren’s Taylor Barnard completed the top-10.
Jake Hughes was 11th quickest, despite running too deep into Turn 1 in the final six minutes of the session. He was quicker than Norman Nato, Maximilian Guenther, Nick Cassidy, and David Beckmann.
Jean-Eric Vergne in the second DS Penske was another driver who went into the Turn 1 runoff, with two minutes of the session to go. He was 16th, ahead of Nico Mueller, Sam Bird and Stoffel Vandoorne. Sebastien Buemi, Zane Maloney, and Lucas di Grassi rounded out the runners.
Buemi and the Lola Yamaha Abts of Maloney and di Grassi didn’t complete a lap with the full 350kW of power, while Ticktum, Beckmann, Buemi, and Maloney were the drivers with the highest lap count, with 16 apiece.
