He’s been upped 12lbsince his win in November and has only shown good form since suggesting a good run this time around. Sam Twiston-Davies is likely to press the issue and Chief Sunday looks to go even better when setting the pace. Ballycamus Three of these runners raced just 12 days ago. Sail Away placed behind the Doyen Chief at Kempton – who finished just ahead of The Wolf, a solid performance from both. I think that could be too soon for Sail Away and Stans The Man, whereas The Doyen Chief has some strong form to suggest he can cope while still progressing. That said, Snipe and Ballycamus appeal more from a value standpoint. Snipe has some great form too including in Grade 3 company in January when placing a close third place. First time cheekpieces could prompt something extra for a horse who has four close-up placings since winning at Aintree in December 2023. Ballycamus on the other hand, has really stepped it up this season winning twice in his last three runs with both victories coming on good to soft. He has a great price only being upped 5lb and is a great each-way price to continue his progression this campaign. Salley Gardens Down to a dangerous weight while returning to fences for the first time since 2022. Goes better on this kind of ground and is still lightly raced having had two big breaks including a 515 days off ahead of a return in November 2024. Coastal Rock Another one for Sean Bowen on board an Olly Murphy-trained horse. Has better form on soft ground and was ruled out last time out on a good to soft, but remains unexposed over this trip so he’s got a great chance.
