'The Rookie' Is Once Again Making Up New Obstacles for Chenford and I'm Annoyed

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for the Season 7 finale of The Rookie.I'm a big fan of ABC's The Rookie, but I have to admit that the season finale (which aired on May 13) was a little disappointing for me. We didn't get a lot of closure about Monica Stevens (Bridget Regan) being back (except that she's somehow a free woman!), and Oscar Hutchinson (Matthew Glave) is once again in the wind, even after John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) tries to capture him. But there's one more loose end from this season that is currently driving me nuts. For all of Season 7, I've been thinking that Lucy Chen (Melissa O'Neil) and Tim Bradford (Eric Winter), a.k.a. Chenford, are finally going to be reunited. So, imagine my dismay when I watched the finale to discover that not only are Chenford nowhere closer to becoming a real couple, there are even more annoying obstacles in their way now.
