Even as we mourn the end of a staple found footage franchise, Cognetti has already taken his first steps away from it, directing his first non-Hell House LLCfilm that recently dropped on Shudder. 825 Forest Road may not be the found footage horror we have come to expect from the director, but the film seems to take a lot of inspiration from the subgenre, so it should be on Cognetti's fans' radars. While it doesn't necessarily achieve everything it sets out to do, 825 Forest Road excels when echoing the found footage format, cementing Cognetti as a master of the subgenre.
