The score comes close to its 2016 predecessor with 77% ratings on the platform. However, the latest numbers come as a slight dip from the film's initial reception following its premiere at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival on March 8, 2025. The movie originally garnered an impressive 86% from critics, which set high expectations for its theatrical release. In comparison, 2016’s The Accountantreceived a much lower score of 53% from critics.
