"This will be the best thing I have ever written. I even thought of a title..." Brainstorm Media has revealed the official trailer for an indie psychological thriller titled
Psycho Therapy, made by Turkish filmmaker Tolga Karaçelik, and set in New York City. This premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival last year, under the original title
The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write about a Serial Killer. Now it's being released with both titles together -
Psycho Therapy: The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write about a Serial Killer. A struggling writer befriends a retired serial killer in a desperate attempt to find inspiration for his next novel and maybe save his marriage. Covering as his marriage counselor, the killer also teaches him his methods as reality becomes deadlier than fiction. The film stars
Steve Buscemi,
John Magaro, and
Britt Lower (from "Severance"), along with
Sydney Cole Alexander,
Ward Horton, and
Olli Haaskivi. Tribeca states: "With a talented cast delivering engaging performances, this film offers a fresh take on familiar tropes and subverts expectations of both the comedy and serial killer genres." This does look clever and funky, going to some unusual places mixing it up with the three of them - check it out. //
