Sony First-Party Studio PS5 Game Tops March 2025 Download Chart

PlayStation revealed the top PS Store game downloads for March 2025. Last month saw mostly expected results, with a Sony first-party studio PS5 game topping the U.S. and Canada chart.

Developed by San Diego Studio, MLB The Show 25 is the most downloaded PS5 game in U.S. and Canada during March 2025. This isn’t too much of a surprise. Even though some really solid games launched last month, including Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Split Fiction, sports games are typically chart toppers as it reaches a much broader audience.

Here are the top 10 downloaded PS5 games in the U.S. and Canada:

2. Assassin’s Creed Shadows
3. Split Fiction
4. Monster Hunter Wilds
5. WWE 2K25
6. EA Sports Madden NFL 25
7. NBA 2K25
8. EA Sports FC 25

Europe saw a bit different results. MLB The Show 25 is not present, which makes sense as MLB baseball isn’t popular in the region. Instead, EA Sports FC 25 is the top downloaded PS5 sports game reaching third overall. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the most downloaded game in the region.

MLB The Show 25 was well received when it launched last month. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it received an average score of 83 across 27 critic reviews.
