Sonoma Race 2 winner Will Robusto heads into the Toyota GR Cup North America weekend at Circuit of The Americas as the driver at the front of the pack.

Robusto, in the No. 2 RVA Graphics Motorsports by Speed Syndicate Toyota GR86, took a breakthrough victory in Race 2 of the season opening weekend at Sonoma Raceway last month to enter the COTA doubleheader with a four-point lead over BSI Racing’s Westin Workman in second.

Sonoma Race 1 winner Lucas Weisenberg sits third in the standings, with Spike Kohlbecker and Jaxon Bell completing the top-five with the first two races of the season in the books.

A total of 32 entries are set for Rounds 3 and 4 of the season, including the series debut of TV personality Rutledge Wood in a Precision Racing LA-entered car.

Wood, who is set for a partial season schedule in the series, is one of five additions to the grid since Sonoma.

It includes four new drivers in Eagles Canyon Racing Powered by Fast Track in Tom Rudnai, Ramon Llano, Jeff Curry and Andrew Gilleland.

The team expands to a seven-car entry after fielding three cars at the Sonoma season opener, resulting in a net increase of one car over the 31-car Sonoma entry.

GR Cup competitors will have two test sessions at COTA on Thursday, followed by a pair of practice sessions on Friday before opening qualifying on Saturday morning. Race 1 takes the green flag Saturday afternoon at 3:55 p.m. CST, with Race 2 set for a 12:15 p.m. CST start time on Sunday.

Both 45-minute races will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch, as well as on grcup.com.
