The team is struggling to find a suitable destination for Cooper Kupp and will release him by the end of the league year if no deal is found, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 32-year-old receiver holds a cap hit of just over $29 million in 2025, causing difficulty in trade negotiations.
The new league year begins on March 12 at 4:00 p.m. ET, also the start of the NFL’s 2025 free agent period, when players can officially sign deals.
Kupp recorded 710 yards and six touchdowns in 11 starts after missing time with an ankle sprain in 2024. He won the receiving triple crown in 2021 and inked a massive three-year extension worth $80 million.
