Report: Eagles re-signing LB Zack Baun to three-year deal

After a career year that saw him help the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl victory, Zack Baun is getting a well-deserved payday.

The Eagles re-signed the linebacker to a three-year, $51 million deal on Wednesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

The deal includes $34 million guaranteed at signing and $1.5 million in incentives and escalators, Shefter added.

Baun, 28, signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Eagles ahead of the 2024 season and went on to be one of the best linebackers in the league. For the first time in his career, he was named to the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro First Team last season.

He had 151 total tackles with three-and-a-half sacks, five forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 2024. He also added an interception of Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes in the Eagles’ Super Bowl win over the back-to-back champs.

Baun’s deal follows an extension for Eagles RB Saquon Barkley on Tuesday, who was another key free-agent addition last season that helped Philadelphia hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
