Toronto Raptors centre Ulrich Chomche will be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
Chomche suffered a partial proximal MCL tear in his right knee and he will spend his rehabilitation preparing for the NBA Summer League, the Raptors announced.
The 19-year-old has appeared in seven NBA games this year, but has spent most of the season with the Raptors’ G League affiliate, where he’s played 19 games and averaged eight points over 24.7 minutes per game.
The youngest player at the 2024 NBA Draft, he was selected with the 57th pick by the Memphis Grizzlies then was immediately traded to the Raptors. He signed a two-way contract ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The Raptors return from the All-Star break on Friday when they host the Miami Heat.
