Toronto Raptors‘ forward Garrett Temple left Sunday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs after suffering a left-knee sprain.
The 39-year-old was helped to the locker room after Malaki Branham tripped following a made layup and fell into Temple’s knee. The knee hyperextended, and Temple did not appear to put pressure on the injured leg while leaving the court.
It was the final game of the Raptors’ season. Temple voiced his desire to continue playing next season, Lindsay Dunn of CityNews reported on Thursday.
A 15-year NBA veteran, Temple had appeared in 27 games for the Raptors this season prior to Sunday’s contest, averaging 2.0 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 8.3 minutes. He has also served on the NBPA executive committee as a vice president since 2017.
Temple has been a weekly guest on Sportsnet’s The Raptors Show with Blake Murphy and Matt Bonner this season.
