Ne Zha 2
An English-dubbed version of the Chinese animation blockbuster “Ne Zha 2,” which has already grossed $2.11 billion worldwide, is reportedly being prepared with ‘well-known’ voice talent involved. The title is now the highest-grossing animated film of all time and the fifth highest-grossing film ever.

CMC Pictures has reportedly secured distribution on 1,000 screens in North America and 162 in Australia for the English dub’s release which will include targeted TV advertising and social media ads. The release will have a sizeable marketing budget to try and reach non-Chinese audiences. [Source Variety]

Star Wars
Star Wars Celebration is coming home to celebrate the franchise’s 50th anniversary with the 2027 event set to take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It follows on from this weekend’s sixteenth edition in Tokyo. Los Angeles previously hosted the 2007 edition which honored the 30th anniversary. Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo has released an advert for the June release of the Switch 2, an ad featuring 56-year-old actor Paul Rudd promoting the Nintendo console release a full 34 years after his 22-year-old self appeared in a spot for the debut of the SNES in 1991 (check that original spot here).

Dressed in the same outfit he wore back in the day, Rudd plays some Mario Kart World with several others – including “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” alum Joe Lo Truglio. Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders will officially go live April 24th in the US ahead of the console’s release on June 5th.
