The PS Store has dropped a free demo for a promising upcoming action game — no PS Plus membership required. Players can try out developer D-Cell’s anime-inspired rhythm adventure Unbeatable right now ahead of its 2025 launch.

‘Anime-juiced’ game Unbeatable’s free PS Store demo comes with flashy trailer

Unbeatable was first announced in 2021 as a Kickstarter game for PC. It resurfaced last year as a PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC game to be published by Playstack. The game comes with an intriguing premise, and if you’re still not convinced, there’s a flashy new trailer to entice you to try out the demo.

“Unbeatable is a rhythm adventure where music is illegal and you do crimes,” reads an official description. D-Cell describes the game an “anime-juiced” action title where “you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage.” “The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about,” the developer added.

The PS Store page for Unbeatable doesn’t say what the demo entails, so players will have to find out for themselves. Additionally, it’s not clear if demo progress will carry over to the full game or not.

Unbeatable currently doesn’t have a release date but is slated for a 2025 launch.
