Power Trip’s Blake Ibanez gives update on new music
As Power Trip continue to tour with a new vocalist, guitarist Blake Ibanez has given an update on new music in a new interview.

Power Trip have suggested in the past that they had new music in the works, following the 2020 death of vocalist Riley Gale, and now that they’ve been consistently touring again with new vocalist Seth Gilmore (who’s also in Fugitive with Power Trip guitarist Blake Ibanez), Chaoszine asked Blake in a new video interview if there was any word on new music. Here’s how he replied:
After everything happened in 2020, we were looking for something to do. Me and [drummer Chris] Ulsh finished up some music we had written for the Power Trip album and went and recorded a bunch of stuff, and just kind of sat on it. We’re like ‘maybe someone will sing on this one day.’ Ultimately it didn’t really happen. After that sort of shelved, that’s when all this stuff happened with Seth and us playing again.
[…] We’re just trying to enjoy being back together and playing again, and who knows? I think at some point obviously we’ll want to go back to all that stuff and maybe consider doing something with it. But I think right now we’ve just been approaching every step like, ‘How does this feel? How does this feel?’ So far everything’s been good.
