Porsche Motorsport North America has chosen Tom Sargent, Loek Hartog, and Riley Dickinson as its three drivers for the 2025 Selected Driver program.
The Porsche Selected Driver program is part of the Porsche Motorsport North America development system, designed to elevate emerging professionals by providing direct manufacturer support, expanded race opportunities, and mentorship across GT and endurance racing series.
The trio are already in the midst of their 2025 IMSA and SRO campaigns after making a name for themselves in Porsche Carrera Cup North America: Dickinson won the 2023 PCCNA title over runner-up Sargent, and Hartog is the 2024 series champion.
“All three drivers came to our attention through their Carrera Cup performances and have again impressed as they have made the next step up the Porsche development pyramid in SRO and IMSA competition,” said Volker Holzmyer, the President and CEO of Porsche Motorsport North America.
“Our Selected Driver program is designed to support their continued development as they take on more prominent roles within the Porsche GT racing ecosystem. We’re thrilled to support Loek, Riley, and Tom with their 2025 programs and excited to see their careers develop as part of the Porsche family.”
Sargent is already two races into his IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup GTD campaign with Wright Motorsports. In his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut, Sargent finished second at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, and has since added a fifth-place finish at Sebring.
The young Australian has also begun his second full GT World Challenge America season at GMG, running in the Pro-Am class alongside co-driver Kyle Washington.
“To be a part of the Porsche Motorsport North America Selected Driver program is a dream come true – to be able to wear the Porsche brand and represent it at a level where you’re part of the family,” Sargent said. “It’s on the way to where I want to be, and it’s a massive achievement.
“I’m now coming into my third year in the U.S. If I think back to when I arrived three years ago, I never would’ve thought I’d be in this position – at least not this quickly. I hoped I’d get here eventually, but it happened fast, and I owe a big thanks to the people who made it happen. A big thank you to Kyle and (Wright Motorsports owner/driver) Adam Adelson for supporting me in joining these programs.
“This is definitely a step in the direction I want to go, toward being a factory Porsche driver. To be one step closer is really big, and I’m excited to represent the brand. Hopefully, I do it well, and I can’t wait for the rest of the year.”
Hartog, who also won the Pro-Am class in last year’s Indianapolis 8 Hour race, is splitting a very busy 2025 season across North America and Europe. He’ll race in GT World Challenge Europe with Rutronik Racing, Pirelli GT4 America with ACI Motorsports – and in June, he’ll make his first 24 Hours of Le Mans start, driving for Manthey Racing in the LMGT3 class alongside co-drivers Antares Au and Klaus Bachler.
“It feels really special to be a part of the Porsche Motorsport North America Selected Driver program – especially because this is the season where I need to transition from being a Silver-rated driver to a fully contracted professional,” Hartog said.
“I’m really happy with how things came together, especially considering my results in Carrera Cup last season and in GT3 races, particularly the eight-hour race at Indy, which was a personal highlight.
“I’m excited to continue competing in the U.S. market in the GT4 America series. Driving the 911 GT3 R is still a big ambition of mine, and I’m becoming increasingly familiar with it here in the States. Looking ahead, IMSA remains a goal, and I’m proud to now represent the US on the global stage – especially with the opportunity to race at Le Mans for the first time this year.”
Dickinson is in his second year as a Porsche Selected Driver. Last year he raced in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge series, where he won the first and last races of the season at Kellymoss Racing. This year, he will race in Pirelli GT4 America as the team-mate to ACI Motorsports owner and reigning Pro-Am champion, Curt Swearingin.
Dickinson also swept the opening weekend of this year’s Porsche Carrera Cup North America season at Sebring in March.
“I’m very much looking forward to continuing in the Porsche Motorsport North America Selected Driver program,” Dickinson said. “Continuing with the program is fantastic, and I can’t thank everyone at Porsche Motorsport North America enough for believing in me and continuing their support and partnership throughout the year, building on the successes we had last year.
“We started off our season quite strong with a couple of podiums in GT4 America – a third and a second – at Sonoma for the season opener, and I couldn’t have been happier with that. We left that weekend tied for the championship points lead and are now heading into my home race at COTA, the three-hour endurance race for GT4 America.”
