If you own a Polestar 3 and use an iPhone, then you might want to check your vehicle for a new update which brings added functionality between the Polestar 3 and iOS devices. More specifically, you can now use your iPhone to automatically lock or unlock your car using your iPhone either actively or passively, even when it’s just resting in their pocket.
The update also allows users to start their vehicle remotely, either with their iPhone or when wearing their Apple Watch. Additionally, users can share car keys via Apple Wallet using Messages, Mail, AirDrop, and WhatsApp (to name a few) with five other users with the option of limiting access to the vehicle itself.

The company says that the feature will also arrive for the Polestar 4 at a later date. Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller comments:

The convenience of using your iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock and start your car, and easily share access to the vehicle with others, shouldn’t be underestimated…
