Pink Floyd At Pompeii – MCMLXXII Official Trailer

Today we are sharing the Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII official trailer ahead of the film’s release on April 24. We already covered the announcement of this theatrical release of the 1972 film in a previous article. Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII, the newly restored version of the groundbreaking 1972 film directed by Adrian Maben, returns to cinemas worldwide from 24 April 2025. The official film trailer is unveiled today – watch here.

Digitally re-mastered in 4K from the original 35mm footage, with enhanced audio newly mixed by Steven Wilson, the upcoming theatrical release presents the definitive version of this pioneering film. Screening in cinemas and IMAX® worldwide from 24 April, tickets are now on sale here.

As a huge Pink Floyd fan, I hope to catch this in theatres upon release. However, either way, I will be pre-ordering the Blu-ray as soon as it’s up in my country.

My favourite Pink Floyd era, like most fans is the ‘Big 4’ period from The Dark Side of the Moon in 1973 to The Wall in 1979. My favourite standalone album being Wish You Were Here in 1975. However, I do also love Pompeii as a live show of their earlier work, before they went stratospheric. I can’t wait to see it and hear it in better quality. Especially ‘Echoes’, in many fans eyes, the pinnacle performance of that classic live.
