Paige VanZant pleads with Dana White for Power Slap rule change after crushing rival in latest win

Paige VanZant has pleaded for Power Slap to continue evolving after her latest dominant win. VanZant was making her third outing in the new promotion created by UFC kingpin Dana White, as she looked to continue her unbeaten start to life in slap-fighting. VanZant made a plea to White after her latest PowerSlap victory In her last bout, the former UFC star had fought to a draw after she committed a foul which saw her denied a second straight victory. She took on Mikael Michelle Brown, making a switch to the 125lbs division where she feels she more naturally can compete. And she delivered a dominant display winning 30-27 on the judges scorecards, with three stiff and well-timed blows. The crushing shots thudded and marked the face of her rival, but didn’t drop her as she impressively remained on her feet. There was no KO for VanZant but she was proud of her display nonetheless. And after the fight, she pleaded with White to add women’s championship title belts for her to try and claim in the coming months. She said: “Hey Dana, where’s that [125-pound] belt, baby? Put me on the next card. “Let’s get some women’s belts. We’re here to stay. We’re here to knock bitches out and slap people all day.” On her performance, the 30-year-old reveals she intends to revert back to her left hand after switching to her right for the latest outing. “It feels incredible. The win feels good,” she continued.
