Netflix’s CEO Says His Company Is “Saving Movies” — But Is It, Really?
Netflix's CEO has made some recent statements regarding streaming and theaters that are blind to what consumers are proving truly want.

The April box office has achieved a pinnacle above where it has been for many months, with event films like A Minecraft Movie and Sinnersgetting people out of their houses and into theaters to set all kinds of records. If you were to ask Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, though, the box office is "struggling," and the theatrical model is "outdated." At a recent Time100 Summit, Sarandos was asked about the state of the industry, and in his mind, Netflix is "saving Hollywood," which not only doesn't make any sense, but is verging on being delusional.
