NBA legend in utter disbelief as heated fan throws his jersey to floor after being refused autograph

It doesn’t get much more awkward than this. NBA legend David Robinson had a strange exchange with a fan recently that resulted in a jersey with his name on it being thrown at his feet. David Robinson (left) is considered one of the best centers of all timeGetty Former San Antonio Spurs superstar Robinson is considered one of the greatest centers of all time. He picked up two NBA championships in 1999 and 2003 and is a fan favorite across the league. However, the 7-foot-tall giant may have fallen out of favor with one fan during the Final Four festivities for March Madness in San Antonio, Texas, last week. A video has gone viral of Robinson’s awkward encounter with an individual during a meet and greet with fans outside the Alamodome. The video shows Robinson waiting in line with fans surrounding him. One fan can be seen approaching the 1992 Olympic Dream Team member and asking him to sign a jersey, but Robinson seemingly refuses as he’s busy with the crowd. The fan then drops the jersey at his feet and walks away. Robinson looks bewildered, possibly confused as to why someone would get so upset about a signature that they’d drop his jersey on the ground in front of him. Fans online reacted to the clip and are split as to who was in the wrong. “Athletes should also support the people that support them. It takes 2 seconds to sign something,” one fan wrote on X.
