After ten years of killer game night fun, Bright Light Media has announced that their Mixtape Massacre and FLOAT: From the Deep product lines are ending.

The online store will remain open, offering one last chance to snag the board games and expansion backs, until Friday, June 13th, 2025.

Bright Light Media’s Creative Director Freddie Carlini said of the closing, “It has been nothing short of a dream to have had the chance to bring to life our love letter to 80s horror, Mixtape Massacre, and to have watched horror fans embrace it and help the world grow throughout that time. With the release of the Time Warp Expansion last summer, we officially ended the 1980s storyline of the game, and thus have a completed universe available for all to own, as well as our other game and love letter to aquatic horror, FLOAT: From the Deep.

“We wish to thank all our friends and fans that we’ve made along the way. We know these games meant as much to you as they did to us and we’re so happy you sat down to play them and that they’ll remain on your shelves for years to come. Thanks for everything, Slashers!”
Mixtape Massacre is a tabletop board game where 2 to 6 players terrorize the town of Tall Oaks, embarking on a killer spree as slasher villains based on familiar horror tropes with no shortage of ’80s pop culture references. FLOAT: From the Deep is a fast-paced tabletop game where players must contend with the elements while battling ferocious creatures from below, while outsmarting and outlasting their fellow players.
All items related to both tabletop games are now available at their lowest prices for the Final Scene Sale happening now, until they’re gone for good after June 13. Head to MixtapeMassacre.com to snag a copy before it’s too late.
While they’re bidding farewell to these product lines, Bright Light is already hard at work on new projects in the horror and gaming space. So, stay tuned.
