ASUS presented Design You Can Feel, an exhibition held in the historic Galleria Meravigli, during Milan Design Week to share the brand’s new Ceraluminum material. Visitors experienced ASUS’s design thinking, creating a meaningful connection between people and technology. Their products are “not merely a tool; it is a companion of your life that evolves with you,” shared Travis Chen, Senior VP of Consumer PCs at ASUS.

The installation’s large kinetic, interactive sculpture Willful Wonder by Studio INI emphasizes these aspects through the stimulation of the senses. Founded by Nassia Inglessis, the London-based experimental design and research studio responds to the themes with an interactive installation at the center of the exhibition. a dynamic bridge that visitors walk on, their steps activating the wings to move in and out, showing how we can truly feel the design with its organic interactivity. By combining design, technology, and engineering, this biomimetic sculpture challenges our notion and relation between aesthetics and technology to amplify the sense of presence while speaking to ASUS’s design approach.

This philosophy is evident in their newest laptop, the Zenbook A14, which reflects their belief in enabling the harmony of Yin (empathy through simplicity) and Yang (innovation in performance), echoing the eastern philosophical background of ASUS’s headquarters in Taiwan.

Ceraluminum combinines the lightness of metal with the durability of ceramic. It’s scratch-proof, water resistant, and more sustainably produced. Interactive installations with the laptops conveyed that the future of technology does not have to come at the cost of nature; rather, it can be inspired by it.

The highlight of the installation was the soon-to-launch Zenbook Ceraluminum Signature Edition, which is layered with special Ceraluminum that took inspiration from landscapes of Turkey, Jordan, the Maldives, and Iceland, each representing the raw power and beauty that shape our world. The intricate layers of patterns found in those regions and their color schemes heavily informs their design. ASUS uses packaging material made out of tea leaves, continuing the effort of making every element sensible and sustainable. From the use of Ceraluminum, recycled plastics for keyboards, and sustainable packaging, ASUS strives to vibe in harmony with nature.
