Micah Richards walks out of CBS studio after Inter Milan star’s savage comment leaves co-hosts in hysterics

Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries jokingly teased CBS studio co-host Micah Richards after an electric 3-3 clash against Barcelona. Dumfries was Inter’s star of the night with a brace and assist at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium. It was the quickest goal in Champions League semi-final history. The Dutchman converted an acrobatic scissor kick to double the score and scored again from another corner, this time heading past a helpless Wojciech Szczesny. Despite the historic performance of Lamine Yamal, it was the 29-year-old who earned the player of the match. When asked by Richards if he watches the show, Dumfries responded: “Of course I watch the show. It’s very nice. I like how you do it. It’s a very good show.” Richards followed up with another question, asking who his favourite co-host is. “Ooh this is tough,” replied the defender. “You are my favourite.” Richards stood up in excitement and walked over to the interview screen, but Dumfries was not finished. “But remember what Marcus [Thuram] said. Your suit is a little bit too small,” said Dumfries.  Stunned into silence, Richards walked across and out of the studio as his co-hosts Jamie Carragher, Kate Abdo and Thierry Henry burst into laughter. He did not grant Richards a similar compliment, instead calling his attire that his suit was ‘a bit tight’ prompting Richards to walk off the set. The CBS panel has built a reputation for their comedic and entertaining coverage of Champions League nights. In a similar fashion to how American sports such as basketball is covered by former players Charles Barkley and  Shaquille O’Neal. The CBS crew have quickly risen to fan favourites as videos swarm X of their match reactions and coverage. The Champions League continues on Tuesday night as Inter host Barcelona.
