Max Pacioretty‘s return to practice got off to a less-than-ideal start.
As the Toronto Maple Leafs returned to practice on Wednesday after the 4 Nations Face-Off break, the forward was forced to leave the session early.
“(Pacioretty) tweaked something right when he went out,” Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube told reporters after Wednesday’s practice. “I don’t have any definite answers on him. I don’t think it’s serious, but we’ll just have to see.”
Pacioretty, 36, has five goals and eight assists in 37 games with the Maple Leafs this season. The veteran forward has missed time with two separate injuries.
The Maple Leafs play their first game back from the 4 Nations break on Saturday when they host the Carolina Hurricanes.
