Man City vs Brighton predictions Every time Manchester City looks to be building a bit of momentum, they seem to suffer another setback.  The Light Blues bounced back from their 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool with a 1-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur. But they were then pegged back again last Saturday, this time losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. Manchester City’s patchy form leaves them in serious danger of missing out on a top four place and Champions League football next season.  At the beginning of this campaign, plenty of punters believed Arsenal could have maybe stopped City winning the title, but no one would have predicted City to struggle like this. Liverpool are out of sight. Let’s give Arsenal second place (for now). That means just six points separate the next six teams in the race for the final two Champions League places. We keep waiting for City to click into gear, and so far, they haven’t managed it. Pep’s team has lost three of their last five in the Premier League. They are running out of matches and need to start winning now. Brighton are having a great time at the moment. The Seagulls are just three points behind Chelsea in fourth place and are one of the teams in the mix to claim a Champions League berth for next season. Brighton lost 7-0 to Nottingham Forest on February 1st. They have won six matches in a row in all competitions since that humbling.  The run of wins has taken Fabian Hürzeler’s team to the quarter-final of the FA Cup and the brink of European football.  Their most recent result was a 2-1 win over Fulham on Saturday. The Seagulls went behind to a goal from Raul Jimenez on 35 minutes.  They immediately struck back through Jan Paul van Hecke on 41 minutes, with Joao Pedro securing all three points with a dramatic 97th-minute winner from the penalty spot.    Man City vs Brighton betting tips. 18+ GambleAware.org – Please play responsibly. Man City vs Brighton betting tips Manchester City are fifth in the Premier League with 47 points. Brighton are seventh on 46 points. This is a huge game for both teams, especially City, who are now in real danger of not making the top four. Our match betting tips are below: Man City to win and over 2.5 goals If we put aside the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at the Etihad, Manchester City’s home record has been okay in 2025. Since their disappointing 1-1 Boxing Day draw with Everton, City have won three and lost one at home.  The wins came against West Ham (4-1), Chelsea (3-1) and Newcastle (4-0). We can excuse the loss to Liverpool, as Slot’s team are the top side domestically at the moment.  Free Bet Offers See all the best free bets and betting offers available over at our dedicated page See all free bets 18+ gambleaware.org. But Pep’s team can’t afford any slips. They are 7/10 to win with SBK, which isn’t a bad price. Add over 2.5 goals to the bet and it takes the odds to 5/4. Back Man City to win and over 2.5 goals at 5/4 with SBK Over 3.5 goals Over 3.5 goals have been scored in three of Manchester City’s last four matches at the Etihad and in seven of their 13 home Premier League fixtures this season.  Brighton have a goal in them. But after City kept a clean sheet in their 4-0 win over Newcastle, I’m not confident in backing both teams to score at 4/7. So instead, I’m going for over 3.5 goals, which will cover goals at both ends, or just at the one. This looks a bit of a 50/50 bet. Brighton have been doing well on the road in recent weeks. But let’s not forget, this is the same Brighton who conceded seven away at Nottingham Forest on Matchday 24. ⚽ Back Man City to win and over 2.5 goals at 5/4 with SBK ⚽

Over 3.5 goals

Over 3.5 goals have been scored in three of Manchester City’s last four matches at the Etihad and in seven of their 13 home Premier League fixtures this season.

Erling Haaland to score anytime

We may have all kicked Erling Haaland out of our Fantasy Premier League teams some weeks back, but it’s now time to start backing the Norwegian striker again.

Haaland has six goals and two assists in his eight Premier League matches in 2025. He hasn’t been as prolific as he has been in previous seasons, but that’s still a very good record.

Three of those matches were at the Etihad Stadium. Haaland scored two in the 4-1 win over West Ham and one (and provided an assist) in the 3-1 win over Chelsea. He didn’t score against Newcastle, but he did provide an assist.

Don’t get Manchester City’s struggles mixed up with Haaland. He’s doing fine at home and is well worth backing to score another at just under even money.
