It is Wednesday, which makes it time once again for the weekly fuel price update by the ministry of finance, which has announced the retail prices of fuels for the coming week of April 3 to 9, 2025.
The coming week sees a five sen per litre price hike for RON 97 petrol to RM3.33 per litre, up from RM3.28 per litre last week. As before, there is no change to the price of RON 95 petrol, which remains at its ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre as set by the Malaysian government in February 2021.
Also unchanged is the retail price of diesel fuel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, at RM2.15 per litre. Therefore, Euro 5 B10 and B20 diesel fuels continue to be priced at RM3.03 per litre, while Euro 5 B7 diesel fuel – which is priced at 20 sen more per litre – goes for RM3.23 per litre.
These fuel prices will take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, April 9, when the next set of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the 14th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for this year, and the 325th in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.
