The Lynx have traded their first-round pick in the 2026 draft to the Mystics in exchange for Karlie Samuelson. The six-foot guard averaged 8.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists with the Mystics last year. She played the third-most minutes on the team with an average of 24:36 per game. The move comes just over three hours before the start of the 2025 WNBA draft and is the second first-rounder the Lynx have traded away in 24 hours. Minnesota dealt their 2025 first-rounder, No. 11 overall, to the Chicago Sky on Sunday.
