Logan Paul floors teammate Joe Weller as he channels inner Brock Lesnar in Sidemen charity match

Logan Paul showed why he is one of WWE’s biggest stars after showcasing his talent in the Sidemen charity match at Wembley. The 29-year-old started for Sidemen FC against the YouTube All Stars in Saturday’s sold-out clash at the Home of Football. Joe Weller opened the scoring early on from the penalty spot during the charity match But he was quickly on the receiving end of a suplex from teammate Paul With just seven minutes on the clock, the Sidemen broke the deadlock through Joe Weller’s penalty. Weller, who was famously stopped by KSI in a boxing bout in February 2018, tucked the ball home into the bottom left corner. He proceeded to copy Cristiano Ronaldo‘s iconic ‘Siu’ celebration, but little did he know he was soon going to be left floored on the hallowed turf at Wembley by his own teammate. With a mimicked kick to the chest, Paul then left Weller on his back after pulling off an incredible suplex. It was a move that WWE legend Brock Lesnar would have been proud of with Weller selling the move in perfect fashion. And to top it off, Paul then pinned Weller, with a three-count not needed to know who come out on top. Needless to say that social media was sent into meltdown over the suplex from the one-time WWE United States Chaampion. Taking to X, one fan said: “Cinema, just saw Logan Paul suplex Joe Weller.” Another posted: “I’ve just seen Logan Paul suplex and KO his teammate off a celebration.” A third added: “Haven’t stopped laughing at this lmao.” Paul pulled off a perfect suplex to showcase his wrestling skills Paul left Weller flat on his back at Wembley He then proceeded to pin Weller with fans left loving their celebration One then messaged: “Hahahahaha Logan Paul is awesome:” Meanwhile this fan simply stated: “Best goal celebration.” Weller added a second to his name shortly before the end of the first half, with Paul going off midway through the opening period. Speaking after being brought off, Paul was asked how playing the football match compares to wrestling. To which he said: “Ironically, it’s much more relaxing. I was kind of in my pocket here. “It’s not my sport, but I’m an entertainer, it’s fun out there, I’m not going to lie.” Asked whether it could be a sport he competes in more often, Paul quipped: “Hell no! No way bro, I’m gassed. “It’s halfway through the first [half], it’s tough!” Paul was back on the pitch for the start of the second half, where he put his side 5-4 up in the 48th minute. The Maverick headed the ball home into the bottom right corner following a pinball in the box, with his goal sparking wild celebrations. But unfortunately for Sidemen FC, they failed to get the win as the All Stars triumphed on penalties after the match finished 8-8 after 90 minutes.
