Jimmy Llibre topped the time charts in the first practice session for Porsche Carrera Cup North America competitors at the Miami International Autodrome.
The ACI Motorsports driver took his No. 2 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to a best lap of 1:57.362 to edge out the No. 9 JDX Racing Porsche of Zachary Vanier by 0.409 seconds.
Riley Dickinson was third on the time charts in his championship-leading No. 91 Kellymoss Porsche, with Michael McCann and Aaron Jeansonne completing the top-five for McCann Racing and Kellymoss, respectively.
Pro-Am was led by JP Martinez in the No. 4 ACI Motorsports Porsche while Rukus Racing’s Scott Blind was quickest of the Masters duo in the opening session, with the latter setting the ninth fastest time overall, ahead of Martinez in 13th.
Twenty seven of the 28 cars entered turned laps in the session, with the No. 54 GMG Racing entry of Patrick Mulcahy the only car to not set a time.
The second and final practice session is set for a 6:05 p.m. EST start this evening.
